Michelle Coakley, Attorney
I joined the Law Office of Autumn Witt Boyd because I love working with creative, energetic, and motivated professionals – people who turn great ideas into realities.
Since graduating law school in 1998, I have advised many growing businesses, vigorously pursuing their legal claims in court and helping them work through a wide array of contract and employment law issues. Whether you need an agreement drafted, advice regarding overtime pay and employee medical leaves, or to defend against a charge of discrimination, I am ready to help. I have extensive experience drafting and litigating contract terms, and my aim is to help clients find sound legal footing so you can do what you do best – grow your business.
I graduated from Michigan State University with honors, and Wayne State University Law School in Detroit cum laude. I then joined Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer and Weiss, P.C., a large metro-Detroit firm, first as an associate and ultimately became a shareholder. In 2011, I relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee with my children and husband when he accepted a job opportunity here.
I am licensed to practice in both Michigan and Tennessee.
Chattanooga quickly felt like home to us, so I’ve become involved in the community through PTA leadership and fundraising at my children’s schools, serving on committees at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church, and volunteering monthly at the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House.
When I’m not working, I love running, practicing yoga, reading and talking about great books, cheering on juvenile athletes, and traveling to interesting corners of the world.
Diane Charboneau, Paralegal
As a paralegal with The Law Office of Autumn Witt Boyd, I assist clients throughout the trademark and copyright registration process to ensure their projects run smoothly and stay on track. Helping entrepreneurs build their brands, protect their intellectual property, and achieve their goals is very rewarding to me.
I began my career as a paralegal in 2009. I am a CORE Registered Paralegal through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations and a member of the Paralegal Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. Prior to joining this firm, I was a Trusts and Estates Paralegal and assisted clients with estate planning and estate administration matters.
I graduated cum laude from East Carolina University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in International Business. As an ECU Cheerleader, I enjoyed cheering for the Pirates, interacting with fans, and volunteering in the Greenville community.
My husband and I have two young boys. In my spare time, I love cooking and trying new recipes. I also enjoy drinking coffee, traveling, and playing at the beach with my family.
Brooke Behar, Legal Assistant
I love the new challenges I am presented every day while working with the Law Office of Autumn Witt Boyd. My passion is supporting our clients and my teammates in doing what they do best by doing what I do best – caring for clients and perfecting processes to keep our firm running smoothly!
Whether serving as an Executive Assistant to two Vice Presidents at Young Life Service Center; providing for administrative, technological, and event planning needs at a mission office in Budapest, Hungary; leading a local MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) group; or my most challenging role as COO of my household with a husband and three children, my administrative skills have been widely used and stretched over the years.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, in 1998. Upon graduation, I began my graduate studies at Butler University and ended up putting those plans on hold as my family moved around the country and across the world before landing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 2006. I am active in the music ministry at my church and enjoy the creative outlets of singing, cooking, baking, art, sewing, upholstery, knitting, traveling, and developing my handy(wo)man skills. No one – including me – knows what I’ll decide to pick up next!
